ABX adds RPS Rhythm Selective Soldering System

July 12th, 2010

ABX Engineering, Inc. is a 24-year-old ISO 9001-2008 approved contract electronics manufacturer which targets prototype, medium to large sized projects, now providing coast to coast coverage with offices in San Francisco, San Diego and Charlotte, NC. ABX has added RPS Rhythm Selective Soldering System to better serve our customers.

The Rhythm Selective Soldering System is designed for high mix, high value, low to high volume PCB production environments. The Rhythm Soldering System can be programmed in minutes to handle basic to complex through-hole soldering requirements. At the heart of the Rhythm is the solder management system, designed for lead and lead-free applications, it features servo motor motion control for speed, accuracy and repeatability, independently heated Nitrogen for superior soldering performance and nitrogen inerted quick-change solder nozzles for industry-leading selective soldering keep-away (less than 1.5mm) and lead protrusion clearance (6 mm).

Sales Program Manager, John Turner stated, "ABX has built our success on serving our customers, providing manufacturing services, often in the high mix, lower volume production run sector. Even products with moderate to higher production volumes, begin as prototypes, or pilot production runs where designs are verified, field tests and approvals completed. Our ability at ABX to work with our customers from a products first design through higher volume production if required, providing a quality cost effective production service not dependent on quantity, has been a real benefit to our customers. The flexibility, quick and versatile programing capabilities of the RPS Rhythm Selective Soldering System, helps us achieve the goal of fast turn, quality and cost effectiveness for our customers, with lower volumes or in NPI scenarios."

ABX is a leading CM in producing higher technology products, from circuit boards to complete turn key systems manufacturing for industries including medical, broadcast, commercial, industrial, research and other customers.
